Fareston is a triphenylethylene derivative that is known for its anti-estrogenic properties. Non steroidal in nature this drug is known in scientific grounds as Toremifene Citrate. The drug is of immense use in treatment of Breast Cancer in Women who have undergone menopause. It is classified under the category of Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator. However lack of proper research has limited the life saving use of this particular chemical. The chemical is known however to prevent the replication of most cancer causing cells and is also known to cause programmed death in some cancer inducing cells which in short means it resists growth of cancerous cells.
